Why wait until you are 65, 67 or 70 to retire when you could retire so much sooner? It’s not as hard as you think!
Many people move slowly and deliberately towards retirement – mainly because that’s what they believe they have to do. Others are of the belief that they will not be able to afford to retire until they are in their mid to late sixties – and even then they worry about having enough money to live on comfortably.
The reality is that most people have the capacity to retire earlier than they thought they could and be able to sustain a comfortable lifestyle for as long as their health allows it!
Look, I get it – you want to be certain that you can afford a decent lifestyle in your retirement, so you keep working as long as you can, putting as much away in your superannuation as possible – especially in those last few years before you retire.
But this is a trap!
If the last two years has taught us anything, it is that nothing is certain. If, in 2019, someone had told you that the world would go into lock-down for most of 2020 and a sizeable chunk of 2021 because of a virus and that international travel would be banned, you would have labelled them as crazy – but here we are!
In fact, there are plenty of people at the moment who thought they would be retiring this year that have decided to keep working because their superannuation has taken a hit and they believe that they don’t have enough to retire on!
However, it doesn’t have to be that way.
This is one of the reasons I wrote my book, “If Seventy Is The New Fifty, When Do I Get To Retire?” Its pages will show you how you can get off the work “Merry-go-round”, start working to live & earn a living doing what you love.
There are no guarantees in life but, for far too many people, one thing is for certain – their retirement dream often turns into a nightmare! You can avoid that nightmare only if you have control of your future, rather than just drifting towards that mythological retirement “Dream”.
In the book, I provide people with objective suggestions to help them achieve the future lifestyle that they deserve in as little as 18 months – no matter where they are right now. The book provides you with the road-map you need – supported with proven processes & methodologies – that I know, from my own first hand experiences, can work for anyone prepared to give it a go!
